San Diego, We Have Arrived!!!

Daniel and myself are FINALLY in San Diego! My boyfriend grew up in La Jolla, SD and this is my first time here. It is so I can hardly stand it and it makes my hometown of Clayton look like a McDonalds and Walmart.

It was a tumultuous trip (delayed flight, missing connections, being transferred to different airline, going through security AGAIN, another delay, blah blah blah..), and we have finally arrived all safe and sound AND my bag even made it!

What happens when you are delayed 5 times–on the fly photoshoot.

It has been a very long first day, but an exciting and activity-packed one as well. We woke up and went to breakfast at my boyfriend’s favorite breakfast joint, Harry’s. Then he took me on a car tour of La Jolla. We walked around a cove where there is a little beach that all the seals took over.

Then we went to Pacific Beach–Danny surfed and I sat on the beach and relaxed and crocheted and napped and it was amazing.

Afterwards we went to a fish taco/street Mexican seafood joint called Oscar’s and had tacos. I got a steak and shrimp taco which was heaven in my mouth. AND we rode a Vespa there!!! I’ve never been on a Vespa before and it was so much funnnnnN! Everytime we would stop at a light I would lurch forward and bang helmets with my boyfriend. Hehehehe I thought it was funny.

By this point I was pooped after walking all day and so we came home, got in the Jacuzzi-yes they have a Jacuzzi..can it get much better? And then took a power nap and went off to dinner!! We ate at a new Japanese/fusion place in downtown La Jolla called Hake. I always love family dinners, but I was so pooped I could hardly keep my eyes open!

We came home and then my boyfriend and I managed to dig through some old picture albums for a bit with his older sister, who I met yesterday and she is so sweet and reminds me of my sister SO MUCH. We could hardly keep our heads up so we went to bed after a long and eventful day!

I can’t wait to see what today holds!!!
